Keynes Country Park - Cotswold Water ParkKeynes Park is one
of the country parks that can be found within the boundary of the Cotswold
Water Park. In years gone by the dirt track around the lakes got very mudding in winter and during periods of prolonged wet weather. Now, however, the path around the lakes has been improved and consists of stone/hardcore. Keynes Country Park is managed by The Cotswold Water Park Society which is a "non-profit distributing environmental body" with charitable status. Your entrance fee or season ticket payment directly helps improve Keynes Park, it also helps fund current and future bio-diversity and conservation projects, sports development projects and public access projects throughout the whole of the Cotswold Water Park. The admission was previously charged per car, but has now changed to per person. See admission charges below. At Keynes Country Park you will find :
BarbecuesSmall BBQs available on a first come first served basis, one of which is particularly suitable for disabled access. Three group BBQs for up to 80 people, popular at weekends so book early!. There is a small marquee also available for hire. Boat and Cycle hireBoat hire and cycle hire is available at the edge of the left hand lake within Keynes Country Park.
Organised VisitsRangers and Water Park staff lead organised visits for colleges, schools and groups. A modest charge is made to cover costs. An educational leaflet and a Key Stage 2 pack is available which lists the popular educational programmes. There is disabled access to most areas of Keynes Country Park Waterland Activity CentreProvides outdoor pursuits for young people with outdoor pursuits coupled to training for team building using our own qualified trainers or yours, for business development. Outdoor pursuits has been used for years to Integrate teams together and inspire motivation from young people and adults alike. Put together in the right quantities you have safety, fun & learning to meet the challenge of today's lifestyle. The Waterpark area is an ideal venue for a holiday and you can participate in outdoor pursuits at the same time at one of the South West's popular Outdoor Activity Centres. You can book on to a RYA Sailing Course or book a sailing course with two hours instruction.You can participate in Powerboat Training and gain a recognised qualification at the end of the course.
