Cotswold Water ParkThis website guide to the general area covered by the Cotswold Water Park was built to celebrate the beauty of the Cotswolds and the Cotswold Water Park. We have no affiliation with the Cotswold Water Park or the Cotswold Water Park Society. A link to the website of the Cotswold Water Park Society can be found on the Links page. The Cotswold Water Park (also known as the Cotswolds Water Park or simply the Waterpark) is Britain's largest water park and consists of over 140 lakes created by gravel extraction, covering over 40 square miles - 50% larger than the Norfolk Broads and still growing.
Whether you are a walker, birdwatcher, photographer, angler, outdoor enthusiast or a family, there's sure to be something for you! While many people will visit the popular lake developments like Keynes Country Park (now Cotswold Country Park) and Neigh Bridge Country Park, there are plenty more underdeveloped lakes to visit, miles and miles of country walks and various picnic areas. The Cotswold Water Park is overseen by the Water Park Society. The Water Park Society was established in 1997 and is a not for profit environmental body with charitable status dedicated to improving the environment of the Cotswold Water Park for its residents and visitors. Cotswold Country Park (was Keynes Country Park, or Keynes Park) near to Someford Keynes is the most developed of the Lakes, but there are many other, less developed lakes, for you to enjoy too.
